Police Blotter: $785 Jewelry Stolen Somewhere Between Chicago and Montreal
Items are taken from carry-on luggage that couldn't be carried on the plane.
Someone took jewelry from a person traveling between Chicago and Montreal, Canada, sometime between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sept. 5, according to a report filed Oct. 11 at the Geneva Police Department.
The victim told police she checked her carry-on luggage and discovered the jewelry was missing when she arrived at the hotel in Montreal.
The items taken included a silver neck band, silver double oval earrings, silver twist spiral earrings, silver pendant, silver George Jensen bracelet, 1-inch silver bracelet, silver round Southwest earrings, silver and pink quartz earrings, silver pendant with agate, silver multi-chain necklace, hammered metal cuff and gold wire spiral earrings with a total value of $785.
