Pellet Gun Spree Causes Damage on Geneva's West Side

Police reports: A series of criminal damage to property reports seems to indicate someone is out shooting vehicles with a pellet or BB gun.

A series of reports collected from the Geneva Police Department this week indicate that one or more people are creating a little havoc by shooting up cars with a pellet gun or BB gun.

The incidents took place between March 31 and April 6, although most were between April 1 and April 2. All were in a West Side neighborhood.

Criminal Damage to Property Under $300—Someone broke the rear windshield of an Acura parked in the 1600 block of Country Squire Drive sometime between 7 p.m. April 1 and 7 a.m. April 2, reports said. Police located the point of entry on the rear passenger-side window, which appeared to have been caused by a BB or similar weapon projectile. The cost to replace the window was estimated at $260.
