One Hit-and-Run, and Some Collisions in Police Reports

With the slippery weather last night and this morning, we expect more will be coming. Here are collisions filed in Geneva police reports.

One hit-and-run, and three collisions were among the items in the Geneva police reports.

Hit and Run on Fargo—An unknown vehicle struck and damaged the rear of an Audi A4  parked in the 2500 block of Fargo Boulevard near South Randall Road, causing $500 or less damage, reports said. The damage was discovered around 5:30 p.m. Feb. 14.

Collision on Private Property—The front of a Ford Explorer driven by Jacqueline Wenz of Geneva collided with the rear of a Pontaic Grand Am driven by Danae Opp of St. Charles around 5:20 p.m. Feb. 8 on private property in the 1800 block of South Randall Road near Gleneagle Drive, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Collision on Illinois Street—The rear of a Jeep Cherokee driven by Andrew Smith of Geneva collided with the rear of a Ford Crown Victoria driven by Christopher Willadsen of Geneva around 8:25 p.m. Feb. 9 in the 700 block of Illinois Street near Union Street, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Smith was issued a warning ticket for improper backing and a citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Collision on —The rear of a Nissan Murano driven by Joseph Mendell of St. Charles collided with the front of a Toyota Sienna driven by Nancy Vangsness of Geneva around 11:24 a.m. Feb. 10 at the intersection of Kaneville Road and Peck Road, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Vangsness’ Sienna was traveling west on Kaneville Road and Mendell’s Murano was driving east on Kaneville Road attempting to turn north on Peck Road when the accident occurred.
