A 17-year-old St Charles boy and a 22-year-old Geneva woman face robbery charges for holding up a Batavia Walmart Wednesday.
The teen, who is not being named because he is underage, and the woman, Kayla N. Magnuson, of 353 Brittany Court in Geneva, are both charged with armed robbery, robbery and retail theft, according to a Batavia Police Department press release.
Police said they two were attempting to leave the Walmart, 801 N. Randall Road in Batavia, with electronic items just before 6 a.m. Wednesday when store employees approached them. The teen is accused of then brandishing a large knife before employees back off.
The duo walked to their parked vehicle, loaded up the electronics and drove off. Employees at the store were able to get a license plate number, which they relayed to police.
Police found the suspect vehicle two hours later in the 300 block of Brittany Court in Geneva, located the suspects and arrested them.
A search of the suspect's vehicle turned up the electronic items taken from Walmart, according to the news release.
The teen was transported to the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center in St. Charles while Magnuson was taken to the Kane County Adult Corrections Center in St. Charles.

The above information was updated at 9 a.m. on June 12.
