More Reports on Vehicle-Burglary Spree in Westhaven Area

Reports include vehicle break-ins on Husking Peg, Westhaven.

Geneva police reports collected Wednesday, Aug. 21, included details of three additional car burglaries between Aug. 7 and Aug. 8 in the Fisher Farms and Westhaven neighborhoods.

The Geneva Police Department sent out an email notice on Aug. 8, immediately after the car burglaries, letting neighbors know about the incidents. Six reports were filed a week ago, including vehicle entries at Hillcrest Road, Westhaven Circle, Westhaven Drive, Daniels Way and Husking Peg Lane. Two more on Husking Peg Lane and one on Westhaven Circle were added after Aug. 12.


Yukon Entered on Husking Peg


Someone took money and a black canvas bag containing miscellaneous items from the glove compartment of a GMC Yukon parked the driveway of a residence in the 2900 block of Husking Peg lane sometime between 8:30 p.m. Aug. 7 and 10 a.m. Aug. 8, reports said. Geneva units responded to 10 other incidents in the neighborhood. The black canvas bag contained a flashlight, hand sanitizer and bottle of Aspirin. The total value of property taken was estimated at $50.

3 Vehicles Burglarized in 1 Driveway

Three vehicles parked in the driveway of a residence in the 0-100 block of Westhaven Circle were burglarized between 11 p.m. Aug. 7 and 7 a.m. Aug. 8, reports said. Taken from a Mercedes Benz C280 were two compact discs. Also entered were a Mercedes Benz GL4560 and a Honda Accord. The total value of items taken was estimated at $30.

Loose Change Taken From Odyssey

Someone took loose change from the central console area of a Honda Odyssey parked in the 2900 block of Husking Peg Lane between 10 p.m. Aug. 7 and 6:30 a.m. Aug. 8 reports said. The value of the items taken was unknown at the time the report was filed.
