Memorial Day Motorcycle Crash Victim Identified as John M. Broderick III, 23, of St. Charles

Geneva police have released the names of the 23-year-old motorcycle driver and the 63-year-old Bartlett SUV driver involved in Monday's fatal crash.

The has confirmed the names of the two drivers involved in the that killed a 23-year-old motorcyclist.

Killed in the accident was John M. Broderick III of St. Charles.

Broderick died after his 1999 Honda motorcycle collided with a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Valerie E. Andrea, 63, of Bartlett at around 6:42 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Randall Road and Gleneagle Drive.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing. The Geneva Police Department is being assisted by the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team.

This is the second motorcycle death in Geneva in an eight-day period.

The passenger of a motorcycle,  around 5:45 p.m. Sunday, May 20, when the motorcycle driven by her husband, 50-year-old Michael A. Tedesco, collided with a pickup truck  on Kirk Road near Division Street.

 and has a court date of June 19.
