Meet Geneva's Newest Police Officer
Police Officer Oscar Maldonado joins the city of Geneva Police Department.
Geneva's newest police officer served with U.S. Armed Forces in Iraq and later worked for a private security company, where he guarded CEOs and celebrities.
Geneva introduced Police Officer Oscar Maldonado at Monday night's City Council Committee of the Whole meeting.
In addition to his interesting past professional life, Maldonado is engaged to be married and was joined by his lovely wife for the swearing-in ceremony you see here.

They are hoping to get married in 2014.
"I said to her as soon as I get picked up by a police department I can finally start planning the wedding full force," he said Monday.

Maldonado, 29, is a White Sox and Bears fan. He's off to training at the police academy and is expected to start sometime in June.
