'Mayhem' Comes to Geneva in the Police Traffic Reports

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Like that Allstate Insurance commercial, "Mayhem" is everywhere, even in Geneva. And so we bring you another round of traffic reports from the Geneva Police Department blotter.

Accident on North Third Street and Payton Street, Failure to Stop—The rear of a Toyota FJ Cruiser driven by Adam Gruszka, 27, of Geneva collided with the front of a Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Caylee Stella, 22, of Cortland around 12:05 p.m. July 15 at the intersection of North Third Street and Peyton Street, reports said. According to reports, Gruszka’s eastbound Cruiser did not stop at the stop sign at North Third Street and went into the intersection, where it was struck by Stella’s Cobalt. The Cobalt had to be towed from the scene. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Gruszka was arrested for failure to stop and has a court date of 9 a.m. Aug. 9. 

Accident on State Street—The rear of a Ford Explorer driven by  Zachary Spencer, 21, of Geneva collided with the front of a Mercury Grand Marquis driven by Ronald Sanders, 72, of St. Charles around 6:20 p.m. July 15 in the 700 block of East State Street near East Side Drive, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Spencer was issued a warning ticket for improper lane usage.

Accident on Private Property on Randall Court—The rear of a Lexus GX470 driven by Amanda Dockery, 46, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Jeep Cherokee driven by Kristen Holmen, 24, of Batavia around 3:30 p.m. July 11 in the 1100 block of Randall Court near Fargo Boulevard, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on Batavia Avenue, Failure to Yield—The front of a Lincoln TownCar driven by Javed Masih, 46, of Streamwood collided with the front of a Lexus LS400 driven by Robert Byrnes, 64, of Geneva around 8:45 a.m. July 12 at the intersection of Batavia Avenue (Route 31) and South Third Street, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Masih was arrested for failure to yield the right-of-way and has a court date of 9 a.m. Aug. 16.

Accident on Kaneville Road—The front of a Toyota Camry driven by Elissa Nozicka, 20, of St. Charles collided with the rear of a Honda Civic driven by Virginia Feck, 50, of St. Charles around 12:51 p.m. July 12 in the 1100 block of Kaneville Road near West State Street, reports said. Less than $500 damage was done to any one vehicle, but Nozicka was taken to Delnor Hospital. Nozicka was issued a warning notice for driving too closely.

Accident on Private Property on South Randall Road—The front of a Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Matthew Roesch, 17, of Geneva collided with the front driver’s side of a Volkswagen Passat driven by Sara Finch, 17, of Geneva around 12:14 p.m. July 12 on private property on South Randall Road near Gleneagle Drive, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on East State Street—The front of a Chrysler LeBaron driven by Neil Hogan, 21, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Honda Civic driven by Sarah Baldwin, 66, of Glen Ellyn at the intersection of East State Street and Bennett Street, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Hogan was issued a warning ticket for driving too closely.
