Man in Batavia Stabbing Gets 3 Years in Prison

Calvin M. Hayes stabbed his coworker in Batavia in May, police said.

A 54-year-old Chicago man was sentenced this month in connection with a stabbing in Batavia outside his workplace.

Calvin M. Hayes will serve three years in prison, according to Illinois Department of Corrections inmate records. He was admitted to a state correctional facility on Sept. 11, 2012.

Hayes was accused of stabbing a male co-worker on May 21, route: {:controller=>"articles", :action=>"show", :id=>"police-chicago-man-accused-of-stabbing-co-worker-in-batavia"} --> after their early-morning shifts ended.
