Man Found Asleep in Car with Beer Cans Arrested for Aggravated DUI
Police reports: Arrest also includes charge on unlawful possession of a fraudulent driver's license.
Geneva police arrested Cesar Martinez, 35, of Geneva for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, aggravated driving under the influence and unlawful possession of a fraudulent driver’s license around 12:54 a.m. Friday, March 4, in the parking lot of an apartment in the 0-100 block of Simpson Street, reports said.
Police discovered Martinez sleeping in the driver’s side of a silver Dodge Neon. Police approached the vehicle and noticed several Modelo beer cans on the front center console and several unopened cans on the driver’s side floor.
When asked for identification, Martinez produced a Mexican driver’s license dated Sept. 27, 2008. Officers later found an Illinois driver’s license in Martinez’ wallet which contained up-to-date information and photo.
