According to police, the two left the store without paying for merchandize. The report states Briden was wearing a pair of $21.50 boxer shorts and a pair of $16.50 socks he had taken, and had an $8.21 woman’s shirt tucked into his sweatshirt.

A store employee followed the two when they ignored a request to return to the store, and the employee told police she saw Honea remove the woman’s shirt from her sweatshirt and give it to Briden, who had it in his clothing. The employee followed the couple to Foxfield Drive and Arrowhead Lane, where she met police, who took the two into custody.
