Man Accidentally Discharges Pellet Gun, Shoots Woman in Their Residence

The subject who shot the gun tells police and he and the victim were at their residence, when he accidentally discharged the gun and shot the victim.

Batavia police reports this week included the unusual incident of a man who allegedly shot a female victim by accident with the pellet gun.

According to a report filed at 5:25 p.m. Dec. 13, police were called to Delnor Hospital regarding a female subject, 23, who had been shot with a pellet rifle.

The subject who shot the gun was questioned, and he told police and he and the victim were at their residence in the 1600 block of Beels Court, when he accidentally discharged the gun and shot the victim.

An officer met with the suspect at his home, and the pellet rifle was removed from the home pending an investigation. No charges had been filed as of the report on Dec. 13.
