Kane County Man Pleads Guilty to St. Charles 7-Eleven Holdup

Lloyd E. Wilkison, 33, agreed to a 15-year prison sentence in exchange for a guilty plea.

A man accused of holding up a St. Charles 7-Eleven at gunpoint has agreed to a 15-year prison sentence in exchange for pleading guilty to armed robbery.

, 33, who authorities describe as having lived in Kane County but, most recently, was a Wisconsin resident, pleaded before a Kane County judge on Thursday.

Authorities allege Wilkison walked into the , located in the 1700 block of West Main Street, on Aug. 29, 2010, and pulled a semi-automatic handgun on an employee. He then demanded cash and took off with $1,039 from two registers.

No one was injured in the robbery, authorities said. Officers recognized Wilkison, who was captured on a store camera, from another investigation. He was arrested several days later in Plainfield.

Armed robbery is a Class X felony.
