It's Geneva. Kids get what they want here.

My neighbor's kid went through 4 IPhones in ONE YEAR, and these are not RICH people. Broken, lost, stolen, broken.....in that order. The lesson she learned is if anything happens to her phone, it will get replaced. Insanity.

So parents in Geneva have hundreds of dollars to spend on a phone for their kids, but if their tax bill goes up a few hundred dollars they go to school board meetings and scream "outrage"

I agree, it is so typical of the pretentious atmosphere that dominates in Geneva. I moved from Geneva due to the fact that it is highly over rated and taxes , but even worse is the general prevailing attitude of superiority. My nephew was a student in Geneva and tried very hard to make athletic teams. He worked out diligently and it broke my heart to watch him sit on the sidelines on the football team knowing what kind of effort he put in. I understand this goes on all across the nation but I found it upsetting that the high school principle's (Tom Rodgers) son always seemed to make the team. I am aware that his son worked hard but so did a lot of kids and you cannot tell me that his position did not influence the coaches. The football coaches at GHS are an absolute joke and their primary concern seems to be winning, The principle has to be aware of the fact that his position and the fears of teachers in relation to positioning his son definitely gave him an advantage that all parents would love to have for their kids as well.

FYI, it's principal, not principle.
