iPads Lifted From Vehicles in Geneva

Also, one more vehicle burglary on Alexandria Court.

It seems as if iPads are the popular items to be stolen from vehicles these days. Two vehicle burglaries of the four in this week's Geneva Police Department blotter involved the theft of iPads and other items. Another of the items is a follow to last week's report on the Alexandria Court series of car burglaries.


Stereo Faceplate Taken

Someone entered a Chevrolet Cheyenne parked in the 600 block of Highbury Lane sometime between 9 p.m. Oct. 13 and 9:30 a.m. Oct. 14 and removed the stereo faceplate and a pair of earphones, reports said. The faceplate was valued at $60, the ear buds at $20.

One iPad Stolen

Someone entered a Chevrolet Traverse parked in the 1200 block of Koster Court sometime between 8:30 p.m. Oct. 10 and 7:50 a.m. Oct. 11 and removed numerous items, including an iPad Mini with two chargers, a memory card, a wallet containing $250 in cash and debit card. The value of the stolen items was estimated at $725.

iPad 2, too

Someone entered a Kia Sedona parked outside Subway, 1459 E. State St., sometime between 8 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Oct. 11 and iPad 2 and case that had been left on the front seat. The iPad and case were valued at $570.

 

Another on Alexandria Court

Someone entered a Pontiac G6 parked in the residential parking space in the 1200 block of Alexandria Court sometime between 8:15 p.m Oct. 10 and 7:45 an, Oct. 11, reports said. The owner noticed that the center console glove compartment was opened and items had been “thrown about” inside the vehicle. Two other vehicle burglaries were reported in the Alexandria Court parking lot in the early morning hours of Oct. 11.
