In Courts: Cathleen Koch, GHS Death Threat Cases on Dockets This Week

Here's a look ahead at court appearances in Kane and DuPage counties.

Here in , the is back in court this week, as is the and the request for visitation with her daugher, who was severely beaten.

And farther afield, in Woodridge, courts upheld Christina Beltran's 2007 murder conviction for beating her daughter to death.

KANE

Geneva—, indicted on a charge of sending a death threat via e-mail to a dean at Geneva High School, is scheduled for an Aug. 31 hearing on the 9 a.m. call in 313.

Geneva—'s lawsuit against the county regarding budget issues returns to court on Aug. 31 on the 9 a.m. call in 320 at the downtown courthouse.

St. Charles—, the St. Charles mother charged in connection to her daughter's severe beating last year, is scheduled for an Aug. 31 hearing at which she could be seeking visitation with her daughter. She is on the 9 a.m. call in courtroom 319.

DUPAGE

Darien— charged with aggravated battery and a hate crime, is supposed to be in court on Aug. 29, but records show he still has a warrant out. He's scheduled to appear in 4006 on 8:30 a.m. call.

Downers Grove—, accused of at least one recent burglary in Downers Grove, is scheduled for an Aug. 29 hearing that is likely to be his arraignment (if he has been indicted). His hearing is set for the 1:30 p.m. call in 4006.

Elmhurst—
, facing charges of attempted murder, is scheduled for a status hearing on Sept. 2. Attorneys have been waiting on the results of her psychological exam.

Hinsdale—, accused of stealing guns from the Clarendon Hills Police Department, is back in court on Aug. 31 for a status hearing.

Hinsdale—, charged with domestic battery after he struck his wife with his car in the driveway, is in the middle of divorce case with his wife and has an order of protection against him as part of it.

Woodridge—Appellate court recently upheld Christina Beltran's 2007 murder conviction for beating her daughter to death. Beltran, 27, is serving a 40-year sentence in the case.
