In Court: a Quirky St. Charles Parking Issue, Utah Bombing Case and Tasered Man on Tap This Week
Here's a look at court cases in and around Geneva this week.
It's a light week, comparatively, in Kane and DuPage County courts—at least as far as the stories we're following at Geneva Patch and neighboring Patch communities. Here's a sampling.
KANE
St. Charles—The LTC Group, which owns property in downtown St. Charles, is seeking an injunction against the city because the city reportedly encroached onto LTC property when it marked and built the new parking deck. It seems like a quirky issue to pop out of the massive downtown redevelopment project that transformed part of St. Charles.

DUPAGE
Hinsdale—is scheduled for sentencing in his Utah bombing case on Feb. 28. Zajac faces six felony charges in a 2006 Utah bombing that had similarities with one that took place in Hinsdale about two weeks prior to it.

LaGrange—The case of —the man tasered by police while reportedly suffering a diabetic seizure—apparently has been settled, according to court documents. Lassi's attorney has indicated she can't talk about the details, so this will likely require a FOIA to LaGrange Park to find out what, if any, money was paid out in this case.
Naperville—Wide Open West, an Internet provider, wants to dismiss an injunction request by Naperville woman who doesn't want her to a California-based film company.
