Bad Muffler Snowballs to DUI, Drug Paraphernalia Charges

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While License Suspended—Geneva police arrested John Welty, 20, of South Elgin on charges of driving with a suspended or revoked license and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop around 8:24 p.m. March 24 in the 0-99 block of South First Street. Welty also received a warning ticket for a defective muffler. He has a court date of April 17 at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.
