Genevans Charged With Possession of Alcohol, Cannabis, Pipes

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Two reports filed this week in the Geneva Police Department blotter includes cases of possession of drug equipment on South Randall Road. In one, cannabis was found. In the other, it was not.


Teens Charged

Geneva police arrested Daniel Hart, 19, of Geneva on charges of illegal possession of alcohol by a minor and possession of cannabis in an amount greater than 2.5 grams but less than 10 grams, and Kevin Curtin, 18, of Geneva on charges of illegal possession of alcohol by a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia around 7:28 p.m. Nov. 25 at the intersection of Christina Lane and South Randall Road, reports said. Curtin also was issued a warning notice for having no rear registration light.

According to complaints in the 16th Circuit Court, both “knowingly possessed alcoholic liquor.” Hart possessed more than 2.5 grams, but not more than 10 grams, of a substance containing cannabis, and Curtin “knowingly possessed two glass pipes.”

Traffic Stop Uncovers Paraphernalia


Geneva police arrested Mark Jendrzejczyk, 26, of Geneva on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia around 6:09 p.m. Dec. 1 in the 1100 block of South Randall Road, reports said. Shannon Townsend of Davenport, Iowa, was issued a warning notice for driving with an expired registration. According to the complaint in the 16th District Circuit Court, Jendrzejczyk “knowingly possessed a blue and green glass smoking pipe.”
