There was a Halloween theme to some fo the theft reports found this week in the Geneva police blotter, as well as the scary knowledge that your wallet can be stolen from your purse or your expensive bracelet taken from your locker if you aren't careful.

Theft—Someone took a wallet containing an Illinois driver’s license, social security card, several credit cards, a check book and about $10 in cash from the purse of a woman shopping at Michael’s Arts & Crafts, 1506 S. Randall Road, sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. Oct. 1, reports said. The total value of the items was estimated at $25.
Theft Under $500—Someone took spider crystal earrings form Denise’s Adornments, 221 S. Third St., sometime between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Oct. 4, reports said. The earrings were valued at $25.
Theft Under $500—Someone took two pumpkins form Denise’s Adornments, 221 S. Third St., sometime between 8 p.m. Oct. 2 and 9 a.m. Oct. 3, reports said. The pumpkins had been place outside the business between the entrance and the sidewalk. The value of the stolen items was estimated at $30.
Theft Over $500—Someone took a gold belcher chain bracelet from a locker in the women’s locker room at Delnor Wellness Center, 296 South Randall Road, sometime between 3:17 p.m. and 6 p.m. Sept. 22, Geneva police reports said. The value of the bracelet was estimated at $2,100.
