Geneva Thefts and Burglaries: a Purse, a Wallet and ... a Sector 9 Longboard

There are the "usual suspects" and there are the "usual stuff that gets pilfered" in the police reports collected in Geneva each week. Wallets and purses are standard fair, but what's a Sector 9 longboard?

Well, apparently it's a big honking skate board, and it was one of the items taken from a Geneva garage. Here's the roundup of thefts and burglaries from last week's blotter. 

Garage Burglary—Someone took sector a Sector 9 longboard and a snowboard from a garage in the 700 block of Maple Lane sometime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Feb. 10, Geneva police reports said. The long board was maple wood color and was valued at $150, the World Industry snowboard was valued at $300, according to reports.

Car Burglary—Someone took a Baggalinni black leather purse containing a cell phone and other items from an unlocked Chevrolet Equinox parked at a shopping center lot in the 1400 block of Randal Road sometime between 1:40 p.m. and 2 p.m. Feb. 4, Geneva police reports said. The total value of the stolen items was unknown at the time of the report.

Theft Under $500—Someone took a black leather wallet that was lying on top of a table in the cafeteria at No-Cor, 288 Geneva Drive, sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Feb. 4, reports said. That wallet was valued at about $50.
