Geneva Police Make 3 Arrests on Marijuana-Related Charges

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Geneva police reports collected this week included three marijuana-related charges.

Possession of Marijuana, Drug Equipment—Geneva police arrested Daniel Miller, 23, of Geneva on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana between 2.5 and 10 grams around 7:25 p.m. Oct. 11 at the water treatment plant at 3739 Keslinger Road, reports said. According to the complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Miller had 5.7 grams of marijuana in his possession as well as a ceramic smoking pipe. He has a court date of Nov. 6 at the Kane County Branch Court.

Possession of Drug Equipment—Geneva police arrested Arsanios Assad, 18, of Carol Stream on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia around 8:28 a.m. Oct. 11 at a gas station at 1501 E. State St., reports said. According to the complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Assad possessed a multicolored ceramic pipe with intent to use for inhaling cannabis. He has a court date of Nov. 20 at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.

Violation of Cannabis Control Act—Geneva police arrested Carl Masters, 32, of St. Charles on charges of possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia around 5:33 a.m. Oct. 14 in a wooded area in the 500 block of Union Street, reports said. According to the complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Masters had .5 grams of marijuana and a one-hitter pipe in his possession. He has a court date of Nov. 6 at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.
