Geneva Police Charge St. Charles Man With Leaving the Scene of an Accident

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Geneva police arrested Efren Ruiz-Perez, 36, of St. Charles on charges of no valid driver’s license, improper lane usage and leaving the scene of an accident with vehicle damage after a one-car crash into a light pole around 5:35 p.m. Dec. 30 in the 800 block of North Randall Road, police reports said.

The front and driver’s side of Ruiz-Perez' Chevrolet Trailblazer struck a Kane County Highway Department light support pole at North Randall Road and Bricher Road, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to the vehicle and property.

The arrest was made at Ruiz-Perez’ address in the 1400 block of South 14th Street in St. Charles.
