Geneva Man Charged With Punching Family Member in Face

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Geneva police arrested Richard Bologna, 49, of Geneva on charges of domestic batter bodily harm to a family member and insulting/provoking contact after an incident between 9 p.m. and 9:25 p.m. Sept. 18 in the 600 block of Illinois Street, reports said.

According to reports, Bologna confronted the victim about her plans to leave for Florida the following morning. The victim told police Bologna swore at her and punched her one time in the mouth with a closed fist. Officers witnessed a small abrasion on the inside of the victim’s upper lip.
