Geneva Man Charged With New Year's Day Domestic Battery

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Geneva police arrested Victor Ajazi, 41, of Geneva on charges of domestic battery and interference with reporting domestic violence after an incident around 8:28 p.m. Jan. 1 in an apartment in the 0-100 block of Simpson Street, Geneva police reports said.

According to the report, Ajazi pushed the victim, grabbed the victim’s arm and pulled the victim to the front-room floor.

Ajazi was charged with two counts of domestic battery—insulting/proviking contact and bodily harm to a family member, as well as interference with the reporting of domestic violence. The victim had bruises to both arms’ biceps, the report said. Ajazi was taken to bond court.
