Geneva Man Arrested for Domestic Battery After Choking the Victim

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Geneva police arrested Herbert Heiss, 56, of Geneva on charges of domestic battery, insulting/provoking contact after an incident around 8:50 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, in the 1300 block of Windsor Court in Geneva.

According to the reports, the victim was standing in the kitchen when Heiss placed an arm around her neck and choked her. There were no injuries, the report said. Heiss was taken to the Kane County Jail.
