Someone Takes $250 Cash From Car, Bike Parked Outside Store

Two "leftovers" from the Geneva police blotter items collected this week include $250 cash taken from a car, and a bike stolen during a visit to CVS.
Burglary from Motor Vehicle—Someone took a purse and its contents—including $250 in cash—from a vehicle parked on the street in the 300 block of Maple Lane sometime between 8:45 a.m. and 10 a.m. April 21, Geneva police reports said. The stolen items included a leather burgundy-colored purse, a black flip phone, a personal checkbook and $250 in cash, reports said.
Theft Over $500—Someone took a black “Diamondback, Topanga” 26-inch mountain bike that was parked outside CVS Pharmacy, 765 East State St., sometime between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. April 21, reports said. The bicycle had been a Christmas present and was valued at about $500.
