Geneva Blotter: Possession of Drug Equipment, Disorderly Conduct and Other Crimes and Misdemeaners

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The Geneva police blotter includes a variety of crimes and misdemeanors. Here's a roundup of blotter reports filed between July 15 and July 22.


Possession of Drug Equipment

  • Geneva police arrested Eric Jimenez, 26, of Geneva on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended or revoked license around 6:09 a.m. July 12 in the 2000 block of South Street, reports said. Jimenez has a court date of Aug. 6 at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.
  • Geneva police arrested Monica Martin, 21, of Geneva on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia around 2:07 a.m. July 9 at the intersection of Willow and West State Street, reports said. Martin also was issued a warning notice for failure to signal. She has a court date of Aug. 20 at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.

 

Criminal Damage to Property

  • Someone scratched the trunk lid of a Saturn sedan and damaged a wooden fence and two landscaping bricks of a home in the 800 block of Manchester Court sometime between 11 p.m. July 10 and 7 a.m. July 11, reports said. Total damage to the vehicle and property was estimated at $425.
  • Someone scratched the rear passenger side of a Jeep Compass parked in the 1800 block of South Randall Road sometime between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. July 10, reports said. The damage was estimated at $700, reports said.

Burglary From Motor Vehicle

  • Someone took a Garmin Nuvi global positioning system from a Dodge Caravan parked in the driveway of a residence in the 800 block of Foxwood Circle sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. July 7, reports said. The replacement value of the GPS is estimated at $500. The vehicle burglary is possibly related to other reports of burglaries in the area.

Driving Under the Influence

  • Geneva police arrested Joseph Giudyino, 38, of St. Charles on charges of making an unsafe, two-lane lane change, driving under the influence of alcohol and aggravated DUI around 12:32 a.m. July 11 in the 0-99 block of North First Street, reports said. He also received a warning notice for improper use of a turn signal.

Disorderly Conduct

  • Geneva police cited Paul Yates, 37, of Geneva for disorderly conduct and public intoxication around 2:10 a.m. July 15 at an apartment in the 2100 block of Pepper Valley Drive, reports said. Each citation carries a $50 fine if paid by its due date.
