Geneva Accidents Roundup Includes Injuries

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following are two weeks' worth of accident reports collected from the Geneva Police Department.

Accident at Keslinger Road and Lark Street—The front of a Dodge Intrepid driven by Kenneth Brown, 45, of Elgin collided with the front of a Toyota Prius driven by Daniel Martinak, 68, of Geneva around 10:04 a.m. Feb. 5 at the intersection of Keslinger Road and Lark Street, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on Private Property on South Randall Road—The front of a Ford Explorer driven by Ruth Lishamer, 87, of St. Charles collided with the front of a Toyota Camry driven by Aaron O’Connell, 23, of Geneva around 2 p.m. Feb. 4 in the parking lot of Dominick’s Finer Foods in the 2000 block of South Randall Road, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle, and a tow was necessary after the crash.

Accident With Injuries at South Randall Road and Fargo Boulevard—The front of a Ford Escape driven by Mary Licar, 69, of Aurora collided with the front driver’s side of a Toyota Camry driven by Brian Byrne, 56, of Batavia around 7:55 p.m. Feb. 1 at the intersection of South Randall Road and Fargo Boulevard, reports said. Licar refused treatment, but Byrne and a 55-year-old female passenger were transported to Delnor Hospital in Medic 52. Licar was cited for failure to yield turning left and has a court date of March 5. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle, and a tow was necessary after the crash.

Accident at Keslinger Road and Delnor Drive—The front and driver’s side of a Mitsubishi Outlander driven by Linda Astra, 47, of Batavia collided with the front of a Chevrolet Colbalt driven by Rosalyn Mott, 64, of St. Charles around 6:27 a.m. Jan. 30 at the intersection of Keslinger Road and Delnor Drive, reports said. Both drivers declined treatment by Medic 52, but more than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle, and a tow was necessary after the crash. Astra was issued a warning ticket for failure to yield exiting a private drive.

Accident on Kaneville Road—The front of a Jeep Wrangler driven by Logan McConnell, 19, of Geneva collided with the driver’s side of a Volkswagen Tiguan driven by Heidi Cadwallader, 40, of Geneva around 6:21 p.m. Jan. 30 in the 2500 block of Kaneville Road about 15 feet west of Soderquist Court, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle, and a tow was necessary after the crash.

Accident at East State Street and Glengarry Drive—The front of a Dodge Stratus driven by Hessica Maez, 27, of Aurora collided with the rear of a Saturn Outlook driven by Thomas Spriet, 64, of St. Charles around 8:50 a.m. Jan. 25 at the intersection of East State Street and Glengarry Driver, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on South Randall Road—The front of a Nissan Quest driven by Jordyn Kidd, 21, of St. Charles collided with the rear of a Honda CRV driven by Margwen Roberts, 62, of Hampshire at around 7:29 a.m. Jan. 25, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.
