Geneva Accidents Roundup: East Side, West Side, All Around the Town

Here's a roundup of accidents from Geneva police reports collected during the past three weeks.
Accident with Injuries at Route 31 and Fargo Boulevard—The front of a Ford Taurus driven by Daniel Acton, 18, of Geneva collided with the front of a Saturn Outlook driven by Nyla Claussen, 43, of Montgomery around 5:10 p.m. Dec. 28 at the intersection of Route 31 and Fargo Boulevard, reports said. A passenger in the Outlook, Mary LaDew of Montgomery, was taken to Delnor Hospital by Medic 31 after complaining of neck pain, and the two drivers declined assistance. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle, and a tow was necessary after the crash.
Accident on West State Street—The passenger’s side of a Honda Odyssey driven by Brian Wiedenhoeft, 38, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Honda Pilot driven by Emanuela Avery, 33, of Geneva around 11:55 a.m. Dec. 30 in the 300 block of West State Street about 50 feet east of Fourth Street, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Wiedenhoeft was issued a warning notice for improper backing.

Accident on South Randall Road—The front of a Dodge Caravan driven by Jeffrey Jordie, 56, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Astrovan driven by Natalie Taylor, 35, of St. Charles around 12:30 p.m. Dec. 11 on private property in the 1400 block of South Randall Road, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one person’s vehicle.
Accident at Route 38 and Kaneville Road—The front of a Toyota Highlander driven by Stephanie Northey, 25, of Oswego collided with the front of an Acura MDX driven by Matthew Meives, 39, of Geneva around 6:10 p.m. Dec. 12 at the intersection of West State Street and Kaneville Road, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one person’s vehicle, and a tow was required after the crash.

Accident on South Randall Road—The front of a Hyundai Sonata driven by George Ashlemon, 81, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Kia Rio driven by Kirsten Danielsen, 18, of Batavia around 2:05 p.m. Dec. 13 in the 1600 block of South Randall Road about 200 feet south of Cristina Lane, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one person’s vehicle.
Accident on Keslinger Road—The front of a Cadillac Deville driven by Idajean Waterous, 66, of Maple Park collided with the front of a BMW 323ci driven by Pamela Rogers, 63, of Geneva around 9:48 a.m. Dec. 14 at the intersection of Keslinger Road and Delnor Drive, reports said. Medic 251 arrived, but both drivers and a passenger in Waterous’ Cadillac declined treatment. Waterous was issued a warning notice for failure to yield exiting a private drive.
Accident at the Intersection of South Fisher Drive and Adamson Drive—The front of a Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Ryan Fecko, 19, of Geneva collided with the rear of a a Pontiac GrandPrix driven by Jeremy Neal, 22, of Yorkville around 4:50 p.m. Dec. 15 at the intersection of South Fisher Drive and Adamson Drive, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one person’s vehicle. Fecko was issued a warning notice for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, reports said.
