Geneva Reports Include Accident With Injuries at Two Intersections

Accident Reports: A pot pourri of accidents from the East Side to the West Side of Geneva include crashes with injuries and damage to property.

The following are Geneva accident reports collected during the past week from the Geneva police blotter.

Accident at South and Second Street—The passenger side of a Toyota Yaris driven by Nikhil Oak, 26, of St. Charles, collided with the front of a Mazda CX-7 driven by Brittaney Brinkmann, 26, of Geneva around 5:18 p.m. July 27 at the intersection of South Street and Second Street, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Oak was issued a warning notice for disobeying a stop sign.

Accident on Randall Road—The front of a Ford Explorer driven by Monica Martin, 50, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Jeep Wrangler driven by Misty Baumgartner, 23, of Geneva around 2:12 p.m. July 23 in the 2100 block of South Randall Road about 200 feet north of West Fabyan Parkway, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident at the Intersection of Division Street and East Side Drive—The passenger side of a Ford F-150 driven by Joe Webb, 65, of St. Charles collided with the front of a Toyota Highlander driven by James Stone, 50, of St. Charles around 5:55 p.m. July 27 at the intersection of Division Street and East Side Drive, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Webb was issued a warning ticket for failure to yield at a stop or yield intersection. A tow was necessary due to the crash.

Accident with Injuries at South Kirk Road and East Fabyan Parkway—The front passenger side of an Acura MDX driven by Natalee Jania, 38, of Lisle collided with the front of a Nissan Versa driven by Mukti Poundyel, 36, of Aurora around 4:43 p.m. July 25 at the intersection of South Kirk Road and East Fabyan Parkway, reports said. Both drivers were taken to following the crash. Jania was cited for failure to yield turning left. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle, and a tow was required.

Damage to Property—An International 9400I driven by Joseph Jepuntich, 57, of Geneva damaged two traffic signals that are the property of the Illinois State Highway Department around 7:09 a.m. July 24 at the intersection of East State Street (Route 38) an South Glengarry Drive, reports said. Jepuntich was issued a warning notice for making an improper turn.

Accident at South First Street near West State Street—The rear of a Dodge Journey driven by Eric Castillo, 21, of Batavia collided with the front of a Honda Accord diven by Elizabeth Miranda, 53, of Geneva around 4:15 p.m. July 20 in the 0-99 block of South First Street near West State Street, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident at Ford and North Third Street—The front of a Nissan Altima driven b Jill Jacobs, 41, of St. Charles collided with the front of a Saab 900 driven by Abrahm Preciado, 20, of Geneva around 5 p.m. July 13 at the intersection of Ford and North Third streets, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.
