Garbage Truck Collides With Tunda, and Other Accidents in Geneva

Here's a roundup of Geneva accidents collected Tuesday, Aug. 7, from the Geneva police blotter.

A garbage truck collides with a Toyota Tundra, accidents with injuries and a number of teenage drivers are among the accident reports collected this week from the . 

Accident at 500 block of Hamilton Street—The passenger’s side of a Chevrolet Suburban driven by Domenica Frazier, 47, of Geneva collided with the front of a parked Dodge Grand Caravan around 5 p.m. Aug. 2 in the 500 block of Hamilton Street about 40 feet east of North Sixth Street, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on Geneva Commons Parking Lot—The rear of a Toyota Highlander driven by Patti Hurley, 52, of Geneva collided with the driver’s side of a Honda Accord driven by Alexander Adams, 18, of St. Charles around 12:20 p.m. Aug. 1 in the Geneva Commons parking lot about 150 feet west of North Randall Road, Geneva police reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident at Kaneville Road and Cambridge Drive—The rear driver’s side of a Honda Civic driven by Madeline Rogier, 19, of Geneva collided with the front passenger side of a Ford Focus driven by Sarah Omond, 33, of Waterman around 6:38 a.m. Aug. 1 at the intersection of Kaneville Road and Cambridge Drive, Geneva police reports said. A tow was necessary after the crash, and more than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Rogier was issued a warning for improper lane usage. 

Accident With Injury on Commons Drive—The front of a Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by Jennifer Ugaste 18, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Chrysler Town & Country driven by Emily Wagner, 24, of St. Charles around 12:03 p.m. Aug. 1 on Commons Drive near 600 N. Randall Road, reports said. Ugaste was taken to Delnor Hospital by Medic 251. A witness told police Ugaste was unconscious prior to striking Wagner’s Town & Country. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Garbage Truck Collides with Tundra on Keslinger Road—The front and driver’s side of a Mack garbage truck driven by James Pfortmiller Jr., 44. of South Elgin collided with the rear passenger’s side of a Toyota Tundra driven by Taylor Lundgren, 19, of Geneva around 10:26 a.m. July 31 in the 2500 block of Keslinger Road about 200 feet west of Randall Road, Geneva police reports said. Lundgren said her back was tight after the accident but refused an ambulance, reports said. Pfortmiller was issued a warning ticket for improper lane usage. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident at Kaneville Road and Peck Road—The front of a GMC Yukon driven by Craig Heitzler, 19, of Elburn collided with the front of a Lexus ES30 driven by Thomas Sylvester, 58, of Geneva around 11:55 a.m. July 28 at the intersection of Kaneville Road and Peck Road, Geneva police repots said. Both drivers and a passenger refused medical treatment. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Heitzler was issued a warning notice for failure to yield turning left.
