UPDATE: Woman Killed When Motorcycle Crashes With Semi on Route 20
The Kane County Sheriff's Office reports that a 21-year-old Sycamore woman is killed Wednesday when her motorcycle collides with a semi truck on Route 20.
A semi truck collided with a motorcyle on Route 20 Wedesday afternoon, killing the 21-year-old female motorcycist, the Kane County Sheriff's Office said.
Angela Hansen, 21, of the 1600 block of Sparkhayes Drive in Sycamore died in the crash that took place at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013, near the intersection of Route 20 and Plank Road in unincorporated Elgin Township.
The initial investigation indicates a 2000 International semitractor and trailer traveling west on Route 20 had the green light to proceed through the intersection when it struck the 2010 Kawasaki motorcycle as it was facing north on Plank Road, according to the Sheriff's Office press release.
