Ethanol Tanker Truck Crash Closes I-88

Illinois State Police report a tractor-trunk crash, which is leaking ethanol, causing the closing of I-88 Monday night in DeKalb County.

A tanker truck crash on Interstate 88 at eastbound milepost 102 in DeKalb closed the tollway in both directions Monday night.

According to a preliminary report from the Illinois State Police, two passenger vehicles and one tractor tanker truck collided around 8:14 p.m. Monday, April 22, near Milepost 102 in DeKalb County.

Because the truck was leaking ethanol, all eastbound and westbound lanes were closed, the State Police said.

According to the preliminary traffic crash investigation, a passenger vehicle struck the rear of another passenger vehicle, causing the second vehicle to spin to the left. As the vehicle was spinning, a truck tractor tanker struck the vehicle.

Illinois drivers are horrible , yet Illinois always attacks the CDL holders and we aren't the ones causing the wrecks

How about the Semi driving in the left lane and then onto the shoulder and hit the State Police car killing the Trooper in flames. I can find many more trucks that caused many accidents and it's their fault.
