Elgin Man Dies in Tractor Accident in Unincorporated Geneva
Joel Bork died after the tractor he was driving flipped over, trapping him underneath, authorities said.
A 47-year-old Elgin man died after the tractor he was driving flipped over at his family farm in unincorporated Geneva Township and trapped him underneath, according to a Kane County Sheriff's Office press release.
Joel Bork, of the 1400 block of Getzelman Road in Elgin, was found by relatives under the light-weight front-loader tractor at about 1:15 p.m. Sunday. The family members went looking for Bork after becoming worried that they had not seen him for a few hours.
Authorities were called to the farm at 32W660 Fabyan Parkway in unincorporated Geneva Township, and Bork was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the news release.
It was unclear how the tractor flipped over. Bock was alone at the time of the accident.
