DUI Roundup: Witness Sees Driver Leave the Scene

Here's a roundup of driving-under-the-influence arrests from Batavia and Geneva police blotters from June 26 to July 1.
Geneva
DUI, Leaving the Scene—Geneva police arrested Kyle Devaney, 25, of Geneva on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or more, leaving the scene of vehicle damage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, illegal transportation of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia around 12:40 a.m. June 23 in the 0-99 block of Bridgeport Lane, reports said.
According to a separate accident report, the front Devaney’s Toyota Avalon collided with the front of a parked Mitsubishi Montere around 12:35 a.m. June 23. Witness told police she heard the crash and saw Devaney exit his vehicle and look at the damage, then left the scene, driving north on Bridgeport Lane.

Devaney has a court date of Aug. 7 at the Kane County Judicial Center, 37W777 Route 38, St. Charles.
Batavia
DUI, Failure to Report—Batavia police arrested Timothy Mednansky, 34, of Batavia on charges of driving under the influence and failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle. The arrest took place around 2:02 a.m. June 30 at the Full Moon Bar, 113 S. Batavia Ave., reports said.

Warrant Service DUI—Batavia police arrested Austin Cook, 25, of Batavia for failure to appear on a notice fo driving under the influence. He was unable to post bond and was transported to the Kane County Jail.
