DUI Roundup: Speeding, Squealing Tires and Improper Parking

The following information was supplied by the Batavia and Geneva police departments. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Here's a roundup of driving-under-the-influence reports collected from the Geneva, Batavia and St. Charles police departments on June 3 or before.


DUI, Improper Parking—Geneva police arrested Joshua Moran, 36, of South Elgin on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or more and improper parking on a roadway around 11:33 p.m. May 25 in the 400 block of Woodward Avenue, reports said. He has a court date of July 3 at the Kane County Judicial Center, 37W777 Route 38, St. Charles.

DUI, Speeding—Geneva police arrested Aaron Adams, 33, of St. Charles on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding after a traffic stop around 1:37 a.m. May 27 in the 300 block of West State Street, reports said. He also received a warning notice for having an uninsured motor vehicle. He has a court date of June 19 at the Kane County Judicial Center, 37W777 Route 38, St. Charles.

DUI, Squealing Tires—Geneva police arrested Christopher Fillmore, 25, of Belvidere on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and squealing/screeching tires around 12:36 a.m. May 30 in the 400 block of South Randall Road, reports said. He has a court date of June 19 at the Kane County Judicial Center, 37W777 Route 38, St. Charles.

DUI, Improper Lane Usage—Batavia police arrested Rodrigo Ontiveros-Martinez, 29, of North Aurora on charges of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol around 9:47 p.m. May 29 at the intersection of South River Street and Bradbury Road, reports said. He also was charged with improper lane usage and no valid driver’s license and was transported to the Kane County Jail.

DUI, Speeding, Improper Lane Usage—Batavia police arrested Nathan Bucy, 28, of Batavia on charges of speeding, improper lane usage and driving under the influence around 1:50 a.m. May 25, reports said. Bucy posted his driver’s license and $100 cash bond and was released with a court date of June 26.

DUI, Too Fast for Conditions—Monica I. Quirin, 62, of the 300 block of Suffield Court, Geneva, was charged at 9:47 p.m. May 29 at Lincoln Highway and Bricher Road with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving too fast for conditions, and disobeying a traffic control device. She posted her driver’s license and was released on her own recognizance pending a July 11, 2013 court appearance.
