DUI, Obstructing Justice Charges in Geneva Police Blotter

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Two incidents of driving under the influence were reported in this week's collection from the Geneva Police Department.

DUI, Obstructing Justice—Geneva police arrested Christopher Brown, 23, of Geneva on charges of obstructing justice, driving under the influence, DUI with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or more, battery, disobeying a stop or yield sign and disobeying a traffic control device after an incident around 2:24 a.m. Sept. 29 on a street in the 0-100 block of South Lincoln Avenue, reports said. According to the complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Brown walked away from a police officer, then pushed away the officer and attempted to leave the area. Brown has a court date of Nov. 21 at the Kane County Judicial Center.

DUI, Speeding—Geneva police arrested Dustin Westrom, 24, of Geneva on charges of driving under the influence and speeding, driving 42 mph in a 30 mph zone, around 12:13 a.m. Oct. 4 in the 0-99 block of West State Street, reports said. Westrom has a court date of Nov. 7 at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.
