Drunken Pounding on Door at 3:30 AM Leads to St. Charles Man's Arrest for Drug Possession

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Geneva Police arrested Ryan Jeskey, 27, of St. Charles on charges of controlled substance possession, obstructing a police officer and public intoxication following an incident around 3:35 a.m. Aug. 22 in the yard of a residence in the 800 block of East Side Drive in Geneva.

Reports said police responded to a complaint that a man was pounding on the door of the residence. When police arrived, they talked to the resident who said she wanted Jeskey to leave.

“Jeskey was intoxicated an in an extremely agitated state … yelling loudly and disturbing other residents,” reports said.

After attempted to quiet Jeskey down, police advised him he was being arrested for public intoxication. “Jeskey refused to comply and actively struggled to keep his hands from being cuffed. Once cuffed, we had to struggle with Jeskey to get him out of the car,” reports said.

Police searched Jeskey and found a plastic baggie containing a white powdery substance weighing 6 ounces.
