Driver Caused 'Deadly Force Situation' Sunday on Randall Road: Reports

The Kane County Chronicle reports of an alleged drunken driver who scared a lot of people Sunday by veering in and out of traffic on Randall Road, starting in Geneva and continung in St. Charles.

A South Elgin man was charged with driving under the influence, battery, obstructing justice, illegal transportation of alcohol, speeding, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and improper lane use after a high-speed chase on Sunday afternoon, May 20, the Kane County Chronicle reports.

According to the Chronicle's Ashley Rhodebeck, St. Charles police were in a "deadly force" situation when they arrested Prince Skariah, 38, on the shoulder of Randall Road, just south of Silver Glen Road.

Police responded to numerous calls of an Acura TL weaving and crossing over the yellow lines into oncoming traffic. When police pursued, Skariah ignored the flashing lights and picked up speed, getting up to 65 or 70 mph in a 45 mph zone.
