Downtown Sidewalk Closed to Repair Gas Leak
No danger, police say. Just a heads up that the work is being done.
Geneva police report via Nixle that a State Street sidewalk will be closed while Nicor repairs a gas leak. "There is no danger," the report said.

The sidewalk under repair is located in front of 129 West State Street. It will be closed through the majority of the day (Tuesday) as Nicor works to repair a gas leak at that location.
"There is no danger, and the gas has been shut off," the report said. "There will be a crew working on the issue and the sidewalk will be inaccessible."
