Domestic Battery Reports: Boyfriend Accused of Going Outside to Kick Victim

The following information was supplied by the Geneva and Batavia police departments. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Two domestic battery reports were collected from Geneva and Batavia police department records last week.

GENEVA

Man Accused of Going Outside to Kick Victim

Geneva police arrested Stewart Stoffregen, 21, of Geneva on charges of domestic battery bodily harm to a family member and insulting or provoking contact after an incident at around 5 a.m. Nov. 10, in the 100 block of Logan Ave., reports said.

Geneva police reported to the area of Fifth Street and Peyton Streets for a subject screaming for help. Police saw the victim walking east in the 300 block of Peyton Street, and she reported that the couple had argued, after which Stoffregen pushed her onto the bed, pinned her wrists and struck her in the face with his open palms and she struck Stoffregen in the face trying to defend herself, reports said.

The altercation ended and she went outside to call her mother, reports said, when Stoffregen “came outside and kicked her in the side two to three times,” reports said.

BATAVIA

Verbal Dispute Leads to Push: Reports

Batavia police arrested Daniel Felber, 27, of the 100 block of South Batavia Avenue on charges of domestic battery, according to a report filed at 9:29 p.m. Nov. 17. The victim told police she was pushed to the ground after a verbal argument with the arrestee, who was intoxicated. Velber was taken to the Kane County Jail for morning bond call and the Department of Children and Family Services was contacted.
