Roberts told police she had a sore left ankle after the crash, but the injury was old and she believed the accident aggravated it. Keller left the scene but gave her personal information to Roberts. When police contacted Keller, she apologized and said it was "totally her fault," in the words of the police report. She told police she was fatigued and was pouring a can of pop into a cup of ice at the time of the accident.
