Deadly Lightning; Potential for Hail Thursday A.M.
If you're driving, watch out for flash flooding of roads, too.

OK, not-so-good morning. We wake today to a Hazardous Weather Outlook, a lot of deadly lightning, the potential for hail and flash flooding.
Zeus must not be happy. That's what they'd say in the Percy Jackson series.

Here's what the NWS-Chicago says:
"WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED: THUNDERSTORMS .. .THE STRONGEST MAY PRODUCE ... DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. HALF DOLLAR SIZE HAIL. TORRENTIAL RAIN ... WHICH MAY CAUSE FLASH FLOODING. DEADLY CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.

Areas affected are mostly south, but I'm looking out the window and seeing some pretty heavy duty rain and hearing a fairly close lightning strike.
"SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE EAST ACROSS AREAS MAINLY SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 88 THIS MORNING ... ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON INTO THIS EVENING.
"MORE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TONIGHT ... ESPECIALLY AFTER MIDNIGHT. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE ELEVATED, WITH THE MAIN THREATS BEING TORRENTIAL RAIN WHICH MAY CAUSE LOCAL FLASH FLOODING AS WELL AS SMALL HAIL."
