Criminal Damage: Someone Writes Vulgar Word on Burgess-Norton Garage Door

Smashed mailboxes, "fist-sized" dents and a vulgar word spray-painted on the garage door of a manufacturing company all indicate the need for some anger management out there in the wilds of Geneva.

Mailbox Smashed

Someone smashed a mailbox in the 700 block of Stone Fence Lane sometime between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Nov. 17, Geneva police reports said. The damaged metal mailbox had a value of $500.

'Fist-Sized' Dents in Honda

Someone put two dents in the driver’s side of Honda Accord between 7 p.m. Nov. 16 and 8 a.m. Nov. 17 in the 100 block of Country Club Place, reports said. There were two fist-sized dents in the door and the air was let out of the tires, as well. The vehicle was parked in the driveway of the residence, reports said. Cost to repair the damage was estimated at $400.

'P' Word on B-N Garage Door

 Someone damaged an overhead garage door of the Burgess Norton Manufacturing building at 737 Peyton St. sometime between 4:30 p.m. Nov. 8 and 7 a.m. Nov. 12, reports said. The company’s environmental manager told police that unknown offenders pushed out a window and wrote the word “penis” onto the overhead garage door on the north side of the manufacturing building. The estimated cost to replace the window and remove the spray paint was $250.

 

Scratched Car Door Near For Eyes

Someone scratched the two passenger-side doors of an Acura TL parked in front of For Eyes, 1492 S. Randall Road, sometime between 10:55 a.m. and 11:20 a.m. Nov. 13, reports said. The cost to repair the damage was unknown at the time of the report.
