Court Date Set For Driver Charged With Failure to Yield in Accident at Kirk and Fabyan

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Geneva police reports say a Jan. 17 court date has been set for the Batavia man facing charges in the Dec. 8 accident in which an 85-year-old woman was hospitalized.

As Batavia and Geneva Patch reported previously, the front of a Dodge Stratus driven by Linares, 33, collided with the front of a Ford F150 driven by Isamael Garcia, 57, of Aurora around 4:40 p.m. Dec. 8 at the intersection of South Kirk Road and East Fabyan Parkway (County Highway 8), reports said.

More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. There were two passengers in Garcia’s F150. Both drivers and one of the passengers refused medical treatment, but Maria H. Vargas, 85, of Aurora was taken to Delnor Hospital, reports said.
