Car Hits Bicycle, Comes to Stop on Cyclist's Leg
The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
A Dodge Intrepid driven by Timothy Lambert, 29, of Geneva, collided with the front of a Huffy Stone Mountain bicycle driven by Sherisse Holmes, 32, of Aurora around 7:17 p.m. June 15 at the intersection of Logan Avenue and West State Street, reports said.
Lambert's Intrepid was stopped on Logan Avenue at West State Street waiting to make a right turn, and Holmes was travelling east on the sidewalk approaching the intersection, reports said. The Intrepid started forward as Holmes started into the crosswalk.
Holmes fell off the bicycle and the Intrepid “came to a stop on her leg,” reports said.
