Burglary Reports: One From a Car, the Other a Break-In at Good Templar

Two burglaries were collected in Geneva police reports this week: A wallet from a car on Bent Tree Drive and water bottles from a cottage at Good Templar Park

Water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink. Unless, of course, you're looking for it in a cottage at Good Templar Park. This blotter item, which would fall into the category of "different," was one of two burglary reports collected this week from the .

Burglary—Someone broke into one of the cottages at and took a case of water sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Aug. 30, Geneva police reports said. Earlier in the year, two other cottages at Good Templar were broken into, according to reports. The damage to the property and the theft of the water was estimated at $200.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle—Someone took a wallet from an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of a home in the 2000 block of Bent Tree Drive sometime between 10:30 p.m. Aug 28 and 7 a.m. Aug. 30, Geneva police reports said. The wallet contained a Social Security card, Illinois driver’s license, debit and credit cards and about $150 in cash, the victim said.
