Burglary at Coach Store in the Commons

Alarm goes off, but burglars get away with an undisclosed number of display items. An evidence technician is brought to the scene.

Someone broke into the Coach store at 306 Geneva Commons and took various display items sometime around 5:23 a.m. April 4, Geneva police reports said.

Police responded to an alarm going off at the store. The first officer to arrive saw that the rear door to the store had been pried open with a jack.

Officers saw that “several items were missing from the displays and several metal display stands were strewn throughout the floor throughout the store.”

Police brought in an evidence technician and asked the owner to fill out a burglary property inventory form. The police report did not include a list of the items stolen or an estimate of their value.
