Brick Paver Used to Smash Car Windows

Police have reported a number of shattered vehicle windows of late. In at least one case, it appears the offender used a brick paver to smash the window, police said.

Geneva police have reported several incidents of smashed windows of late. Here are two of the latest.

Criminal Damage to Property—Someone shattered the rear-side window of a gray Ford Freestar parked in the driveway of a residence in the 0-100 block of Briar Lane sometime between 7 a.m. Oct. 15 and 5:30 p.m. Oct. 18, reports said. The cost to replace the windshield was estimated at $250.

Criminal Damage to Property—Someone smashed the driver’s-side window of a gray Infinity FX35 parked in the driveway of a home in the 2000 block of Bent Tree Circle sometime between 12:20 a.m. and 9 a.m. Oct. 16, reports said. The report said it appeared the offender used a brick paver to smash the window. The owner estimated the cost to replace the window at $350.
